We are welcoming our "Snowbird" friends back to South Alabama. It is so nice to see them returning and coming out to the pottery for their annual visit. This wonderful weather allows for lots of outdoor activity.
I am burning a glaze kiln tomorrow (Thursday) with the kiln unloading on Friday PM. Lot's of orders. This kiln will have Jubilee Seafood ware, Eastern Shore Blue and an assortment of snow owls. I am also finishing up the awards for Ecumenical Ministries "Chili for Charity" now. While I have made 300 (+/-) chili bowls for them every year for the last 10 years, 2011 was my last year to make the collectable bowls.
The last 50 of the Snow Owl "Winter Series" will be out the this week-end. We have lots of new ideas for work & I hope to get more flower pots, sun faces and a nice selection of garden pieces made for Spring. Starting up the big pug mill in the next couple of weeks and will be grinding more local clay.
We are also encouraging all who are interested in being notified of upcoming events to please sign up on our E-Mail list, "Join our Mailing List" sign-up link at the bottom of this page. I will still run ad's in the local paper as well but we are no longer sending out postcards. I send out e-mail messages about 4 times a year.
While strolling thru Fairhope be sure stop in at the Fairhope Welcome Center then take a look see at the "Fairhope History Museum" & enjoy the continually changing exhibits. This is a must do in Fairhope.
